Why mindfulness is important for your company?
Mindfulness protects against stress and excessive demands. Caring for yourself and your employees is a successful method of increasing the pressure to deal with the digital flood of information with the requirements of multitasking. Mindfulness exercises and mindfulness training can prevent burnout and illnesses. Managers and employees who are not at risk of burnout also benefit from mindfulness methods. In the company, mindfulness leads to creativity and satisfaction.
Mindfulness: The ideal way to manage stress
Resistance is strengthened by learning mindfulness according to the MBSR concept. Your own mental attitude and activity can be researched and observed without any value. With the formal MBSR exercises it is possible to be in good contact with your own body signals and to find more mental calm. When dealing with challenging work situations, you can integrate mindfulness into your everyday work step by step.
What is mindfulness?
Mindfulness means consciously perceiving what is happening here and now, with myself and my surroundings - and only to look at it, without prejudice. The mindful person does not intervene at this moment and does not want to achieve anything. He takes note!
Mindfulness is not relaxation and serenity. Relaxation and serenity are the positive effects that come from mindfulness.
You learn to play a musical instrument by playing it over and over again. This applies equally to mindfulness. "Be mindful" must be practiced.
Our brain is calibrated to evaluate thoughts, situations or encounters, so we can make quick decisions. However, it limits our ability to perceive and cement habits of thinking. This reflex is on the one hand a help and on the other hand an innovation inhibitor.
Mindfulness exercises open us up to the present moment, train our attention and sharpen our perception of ourselves and our surroundings.

Benefits of mindfulness seminars for companies
Employees or managers should be able to handle tasks. Why should they learn to be “mindful” in mindfulness seminars?

Benefits for the working atmosphere
Satisfaction and health immediately contribute to a positive working atmosphere. Just as important for the working atmosphere is careful management. In the special mindfulness training courses, managers also learn how to deal constructively with challenges - such as anger or conflicts - among other things, the communication and listening behavior can be learned again, the self-perception is sharpened by the training and the authenticity is strengthened. Because mindfulness also has a physical component in which the mental and physical condition of the participants is improved. Mindfulness in the company is therefore a good engine for sustainable and human-friendly personnel development.

Health benefits
Mindfulness exercises have been shown to help prevent burnout and illnesses. If you pay more attention to yourself, your feelings and your surroundings, you can make more constructive decisions. Mindfulness training also leads to mental and physical satisfaction. The health-related absenteeism is reduced.
In the past forty years, the number of days off due to mental illness has increased fivefold. At 39.1 days, the average duration of mentally-related illness failures is three times higher than for other illnesses at 13.3 days (BKK Health Report 2015).

Benefits for managers and employees
Mindfulness seminars show how they can better deal with daily requirements - with stress, fear of failure, internal blockages and much more. They can better direct their attention and digress less. This creates new space for creativity.

An important reason why more and more companies are putting mindfulness on their agenda.
Mindfulness as a challenge for corporate culture
This already addresses a critical point: Because mindfulness, if it is to be effective in the long term, requires regular practice and application, even after work.
When companies offer mindfulness training, the goal should always be to stimulate long-term change processes. However, this can only work if a mindful attitude is integrated into the corporate culture. After all, habits and routine are often stubborn.
In this respect, mindfulness is a good task, especially for managers. Managers should therefore lead by example. You should exemplify the inner attitudes of mindfulness.
Through the joint training of mindfulness, employees can remember a more conscious handling of their own performance and its limits in everyday work. Some companies have had good experiences doing a short meditation before a meeting.

Mindfulness in practice
What can mindfulness look like in professional life?
The following examples can serve as a suggestion:

1. Concentration
Concentrate only on the task you are currently doing. Breathe in deliberately 1-3 times before you pick up the phone, do not mentally work through your to-do list in meetings. Stay in the present moment. Perceive your body sensation without changing anything.

2. Sometimes offline
Similar to the first point, it is a matter of reducing the "attention eaters". Turn off your smartphone in meetings. You should separate work and leisure: Find the time to check no (or only limited) business emails after work and at the weekend.

3. Be aware of the surroundings
Try to concentrate consciously on the environment on the way to work. Perceive sounds and smells. What can you watch? Try to describe what you perceive in the outside world and inside - without evaluating it.

Search engine giant Google is leading the way
On the company's campus, employees spend their lunch in silence once a month - a popular way to calm the mind and cultivate the innovative corporate culture.

Mindfulness via app
Some app developers have now discovered the lucrative market "mindfulness". Whether the apps are helpful is a question of type. The applications can make it easier for beginners to start meditation and can be helpful to get more routine in certain exercises.

Mindfulness: relaxation, no increase in efficiency
No matter whether via app or in an organized mindfulness training. Mindfulness must actually be practiced regularly. No trainer can relieve you of your own practice. The exercises themselves are quite simple, but it is comparatively difficult to replace the established routine with new habits. Many are like that.

Executives should exemplify the inner attitudes of mindfulness if they want to integrate mindfulness into everyday work. It is important that the method is not misunderstood as a means of increasing efficiency, but actually serves the well-being of the employees and thus the company as a whole.
